Active Courtyard

Integration of sport and living.

A small courtyard in Shenzhen, has been equiped with 3 badminton fields, on 3 different levels connected by large steps. The small ramps in the right side of the big stair, makes it possible for kids to skate and bike around in the courtyard aswell. The surrounding balkonies and windows becomes spectators in the games and activities.

From a old traditionel chinese residentialarea. The narrow streets and the scale of the buildings creates a speciel intimet atmosphere. The trees on the little plaza have been framed by a low concrete wall, what creates a ringshaped bench.
